From Meriden, you have 24-hours to get as far away from as you can. You can only travel on foot. Your are measured 'by the crow', and The Crow will be watching you

The Crow will be watching all of the prisoners as they escape, using the miracle of our prison-tags, courtsey of Track Trail® event tracking technology.
The Crow will judge how far the shadows have run, and reward them. Make a feeble attempt to escape, and youll be 'food for crows'. Venture 30 miles, claim silver. 60, and take Gold. If your escape takes you 90 miles then The Black Crow will be yours. Be assured, few Black Crows will be claimed
There’s a twist…The miles are measured “as the crow flies”...
What Are The Rules

You can escape only on foot. The Crow knows how fast you travel

You can attempt escape solo for 24 hours

If you are scared of the dark, you can escape for 24 hours as a pair
-
You can take a teddy bear to comfort you
-
If you are after the most authentic escape experience, you can be “chained” to your partner(s), and run for 36 hours, courtsey of Cockbain Events who operate “Chained” from the same venue. If a chained pair clock up 130 real miles then they will get a special Chained medal in addition to the standard graded ones

You will be given no advice on where to run, or hide, or cower

You make your own route. Use any means you wish to wayfind

Most navigate via late night food outlets to sustain them

Some arranged crews/accomplices - who meet them along the way in their cars with dry socks, chips and cuddles

No use of private land or anything illegal (motorways etc).

Your route choice is your own choice and risk. We recommend strongly that you stay off roads that have no pavement
-
There are no checkpoints. Use your wit and guile to feed yourself. Call for your mother if you must

Once you leave The Cross you are on your own - we will not find you or feed you

The World will keep an eye on you from afar using tracking technology

ABOUT THE RACE
HURDLING ORIGINATED IN ENGLAND IN THE EARLY 19TH CENTURY, THE RUNNERS RACE OVER A SERIES OF OBSTACLES CALLED HURDLES, WHICH ARE SET A FIXED DISTANCE APART.
RUNNERS MUST REMAIN IN ASSIGNED LANES THROUGHOUT A RACE, AND, ALTHOUGH THEY MAY KNOCK HURDLES DOWN WHILE RUNNING OVER THEM, A RUNNER WHO TRAILS A FOOT OR LEG ALONGSIDE A HURDLE OR KNOCKS IT DOWN WITH A HAND IS DISQUALIFIED. THE FIRST HURDLER TO COMPLETE THE COURSE IS THE WINNER.

Refund Policy:
No deferrals, or refund, unless the event is cancelled. You can sell your place and transfer in someone else up to 30 days before the event. You cannot transfer after that.
Places can only be transferred in the same category they were purchased. i.e. you can’t sell a pair as two solo places. You can’t transfer chained places for multiple solo places, or multiple pair places.
How to transfer your place(s) to someone else.
